June 1st was the last day of school for Tessa. On that days she had an awards assembly. The school called us to tell us that she was getting an award, and invited us to come to the assembly.
Tessa got the Citizenship Award! We are so proud of her. They said in the assembly that the Citizenship Award is for students that go the extra mile to be friends with everyone, and to show kindness, and to be helpful to those around them! Go Tessa! I was especially proud because I have been telling her all year how important it is to be friends with everyone, and to be nice to her class mates. We also had prayer every morning and asked Heavenly Father to help Tessa to be a good example to those around her. So this award made me especially proud of her!
Tessa was also recognized for her excellent attendance.
The Principal, Dr. Ingalls, came and shook her hand.
Immediately after school (it was a half day) Tessa had 2 Summer Kick-Off Parties!
We rushed home, put on swimming suits and packed a picnic lunch and headed to party #1 where we had lunch and some awesome slip and slide business going on!
Then we rushed home, got dressed and ran to party #2, where the girls played with friends, jumped on the tramp, played in the water, ate popsicles and other treats, and just had a good time.
Welcome to Summer!!
