We had a great 4th! Josh got home from scout camp at about noon. We had a festive lunch at home. (See last post.) And then at 6:00pm we went up to my dad's house for a BBQ. Delicious! Especially Aunt Mandy's strawberry and blueberry pudding! I had a few servings of that. :) The kids watched Uncle Garrett light off smoke bombs and "snakes." And we all just had a relaxing time.
My sister-in-law, Cynthia brought some friends of her's from Utah, and they kept remarking on how very relaxed the people are here in Evanston, and how it's so different from Utah. (Which is kind of weird since we are literally 2 miles over the border.) She said everything is just so easy going...Yes in deedy! That is how we roll! ;)

Later we went and watched the fireworks. We didn't go to our normal spot on the hill. Instead we went to one of the elementary school's ball field. I can't decided which spot I like best!
After the fireworks we went home (to Dad's) and lit off our own fireworks. Wyoming has very relaxed firework laws. In fact you can light fireworks year round outside of the city limits. There is no place like Evanston on the 4th. We are firework central. It's actually pretty crazy! There are fireworks going off on every block, firetrucks stationed all over town, and as you drive into town there are three huge firework stores right off the first exit. People go crazy with it! But I have to admit...it is pretty fun.Happy Independence Day!
