My brother in law Matthew had a work show in Salt Lake, and Josh was going to go to it too. So we took both of our families down to play in Salt Lake for an over nighter. When we got to our hotel room I realized how much I need a vacation!! It felt so good to be out having some fun with the whole family!
Tessa's favorite spot in the hotel room was the window seal. We were on the 5th floor and she liked to stand up there and look out.
Maggie was just happy-as always! That night their Grandma and Grandpa Davis babysat while we went out to eat. We had all you can eat steak and crab and it was so good! When we got back to pick up the girls, Tessa was sleeping in Grandpa's arms-which was cute-until we heard how naughty she had been. She is in her 'tantrum' stage, and she throws herself down and bonks her head on the floor. She ALWAYS has bruises on her forehead. So I felt bad for Grandma and Grandpa. Luckily they are understanding! (You can link over to their blog- "Mel and Annette" and see the tantrum in progress.)
The girls had never been swimming so this was our chance! Tessa was scared at first, but eventually she warmed up to the idea of playing in a giant bath tub and she had a lot of fun.
Josh and I each took a kid and playing in the water. But if we wanted any picture of the girl's first swim we had to double up the kids!

Matthew and Sally came to our room for a bit so I got some pictures!
Here is Jonah and Maggie.

We took the girls to Chucky Cheese because they have never been, and we thought Tessa might have fun. This is the picture that Chuck E. Cheese drew for us while we were there!
Tessa wouldn't eat much pizza but she loved the sprite!
Maggie doesn't look like she is really enjoying herself in this picture but she really had a good time looking around at everything.
Tessa loved the rides but she was so funny-she would get on and stare down like she was shy.
I think Tessa enjoyed this game the most because we kept coming back to it.
She didn't want to ride this ride until she saw it had a doggy!
And this has to be my favorite picture. Can you tell she is in her "terrible twos" and she isn't even two yet!

We had nothing but fun until it was time to go, and then she was mad because she wanted to get on stage and play with the big scary robotic fur covered puppets. She didn't want to go. We had a really fun mini vacation, and now I am DEFINITELY planning a week long summer vacation! (You can look for that blog coming this August!! --probably)
